Date Night

I've been in a shipping kind of mood lately. It's probably all the stuff I've been doing with Ukraine. This took me the past three days to finish, but I had inspiration and I wanted to freaking do this!

So this is a little tribute to my..."less popular hetero kinda ships," I guess you could call them. They're the pairings that I don't ship to my grave or anything, but I do really like them for one reason or another. It's also really hard to find fanart of these pairings, so I wanted to give them a little bit of love! These aren't all the pairings on the "like" list of my shipping meme. Some I haven't moved out of the "don't care" list, I could only do one ship per character, and I chose to only do hetero ships. Maybe I'll do some of my other ships later, but yeah. Enjoy this! DenmarkxBelarus: Awhile back, I really wanted to find someone to pair with Belarus. I really liked her character and felt sorry for her, and I felt she deserved to have some love. While I like LietBel alright, I wanted to find something that I shipped just with her. I wasn't that successful, but after reading through Belarus's foreign relations I found this. There's not a lot between them, but Denmark has provided a lot of aid to Belarus during hard times. I thought their contrasting personalities was a cute idea, so I went to look them up and see if anyone else agreed. There was actually some fanart of them on pixiv...that reminded me of their interaction in one of the Halloween strips. It was just too perfect for me. XD Nothing Belarus can do will ever phase Denmark. He'll just keep on being energetic and happy, and I love how confused that makes her. I think they'd be cute together.

ThailandxVietnam: I only started liking this very recently. It kind of came to me after I got this Thailand model that, hey. They'd be kind of cute together. He's the one she went to for smiling coaching after all. XD Besides, I really like Vietnam and I think she deserves such a cheerful guy after all she's been through. It'll be good for her. (I honestly know nothing of their history together, so I can't really speak for that. )

SeborgaxMonaco: Someone suggested this to me once, and I thought it was a cute idea. Since then I've actually found a lot of reasons to like them together. First off, they're the only pairing involving any of the micronations (that I know of) that actually has some relations. They do live right next to each other, so that's not surprising. Second, they're the only characters in Hetalia I know of that have actually gone on an official date. Seborga, being the Italian that he is, asked her out and she thought that actually sounded fun. She agreed to go out with him if he beat her at poker. Though she won, she went out with him anyway. I thought that was pretty cute. >w< Finally...you guys all know I love height differences. Did you know that Monaco is shorter than Liechtenstein and that Seborga is taller than either of the Italies? Might not be the best reason, but it's enough for me.

RomanoxLiechtenstein: Just so everyone knows, I can only ever ship Romano with girls. This is most likely just because I'm a bit of a Romano fangirl, so it's nothing against anyone. However, I've never been able to just pick a particular girl I like him with. I'm good with RomaSey and RomaBel (though I really prefer SpaBel), and if Albania had a character I'd definitely ship him with her because of their history. However, there is no Albania, so my favorite pairing for him is with Liechtenstein. I think their personalities work well together, especially considering the personality of Liechtenstein's brother and Romano's soft spot for girls, and there is a tiny bit of history between them. Besides, who wouldn't want to see Switzerland chase Romano off with a gun! 8D The only thing that's really holding me back from this is that I'm not sure if it's pedophilia...curse you and your questionable age, Liechtenstein! I have no idea if this is okay! D:

EstoniaxUkraine: The main reason I made this picture was to spam with more EstUkr. =w= This is probably the most popular of all these pairings I've listed, and I kind of think the Stop EstUkr group is the cause of that. Ironic, huh? I've already ranted a little bit about them, so I'll just say that I really like the idea of the two of them singing together. They are in the chior club together, after all!
